Scheduler/Operations Associate
Location: Maine (some travel required)
Salary: $4,000–$7,000/month, commensurate with experience
Start Date: Immediate
Graham Platner for U.S. Senate is hiring an Operations Associate to help keep a fast-moving, people-powered campaign running smoothly. This role is central to how we execute day-to-day work—supporting scheduling, preparing the candidate for events, and ensuring strong coordination across departments.
This is a good fit for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a high-pressure environment.
Responsibilities:
Scheduling & Candidate Support
Support management of the candidate’s daily and long-term schedule
Coordinate across departments to align and prioritize scheduling requests
Prepare and distribute daily briefings and detailed event memos
Ensure the candidate is prepared for all events, meetings, and call time
Track follow-ups and ensure timely execution of next steps
Events & Operations
Work with the Operations team and other departments (Field, Finance, Communications, Political) to plan and execute successful events
Prepare comprehensive event memos, including logistics, run-of-show, and key context
Coordinate travel, materials, and on-the-ground logistics
Help troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day operational challenges
Systems & Coordination
Support backend tracking systems for scheduling, events, and campaign priorities
Help maintain clear internal communication and strong information flow across teams
Build and manage simple systems to keep work organized and on track
Qualifications:
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
Clear, effective communication skills
Sound judgment and ability to handle sensitive information
Willingness to work irregular hours, including nights and weekends
Prior campaign, political, nonprofit, or operations experience is helpful but not required
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range of $4,000–$7,000/month, depending on experience

This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement and is part of the campaign’s bargaining unit
